Water sports
Especially the left bank of the Lipno Lake and namely the part between the villages Lipno and Horni Plana, is used for recreation and water sports. You can swim or surf here, and you can also rent boats and pedal boats. There is a regular boat service and a large marina called Marina Lipno. At the marina you can also rent boats.

Fishing
Lake Lipno is also a true fishing paradise and is also called "the fishing pearl of South Bohemia." The lake is known for its big fish. Especially zander and carp. But roach, bream, catfish and trout are also caught here.
Unfortunately, because Lake Lipno is located in a nature reserve and the fish stock is actively monitored, the fishing license is expensive. Another reason for this is that the fish caught end up on the BBQ in the evening. In the Czech Republic, caper is a delicacy. At Christmas people eat caper instead of turkey.
