Can a reservation be canceled?

In the unlikely event that you wish to cancel a reservation you will be liable for the cancellation fee. We recommend that you always take out cancellation insurance. You can take out this insurance at the same time as you make your reservation (see the reservation form).

How much is the cancellation fee?

- cancellation more than 90 days before the start of the rental period: 10% of the rental sum with a minimum of € 150,00;
- cancellation between the 90th and 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental sum with a minimum of € 150,00;
- cancellation between the 59th and 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental fee;
- cancellation between the 29th and 7th day before commencement of rental period: 75% of the rental fee;
- cancellation within 7 days before commencement of rental period: 100% of the rental fee;

When will you receive your travel documents?

You will receive your voucher + directions once the entire rental fee has been paid. You must hand the voucher to the manager upon arrival.

Arrival and departure times

^

On the day of commencement of the rental period, the rented property is at the tenant's disposal from 3:00 pm. The property must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

Maximum number of people per property

^

The rented property may be occupied by a maximum of the number of persons indicated on this website and mentioned in the rental conditions. An exception can be made for at most 2 babies/small children sleeping in a crib however this must be indicated at the time of booking.

The damage lodging insurance

^

You are required to purchase this insurance. This is because your liability insurance does not cover damage caused to other people's property when you use or borrow it, whether for payment or not. The premium is 1.5% of the rental price (+ €3.50 policy fee and 21% insurance tax). Benefit is granted if the insured is liable for damages exceeding € 25. Is there a deposit to be paid?

The manager of the accommodation may require from the tenant at the beginning of the stay a deposit of € 500 per accommodation. If the deposit is not paid immediately, the manager is entitled to deny the tenant and/or other users access to and use of the accommodation. If the tenant fails to pay the deposit, Sun and Snow will also be entitled to terminate (cancel) the rental agreement with immediate effect. The deposit or any balance after deduction of excessive cleaning costs and/or damage will be refunded by the manager at the end of the stay.

The deposit of € 500 is required only in exceptional cases and depends, among other things, on the composition of your travel party (e.g. in the case of a group of young people).

Are you required to have travel and cancellation insurance?

These insurances are not mandatory, but are recommended by us. Sun and Snow offers you the possibility to take out these insurances at the same time as your reservation. Sun and Snow is a partner of "De Europeesche" for these insurances.

What does the All-risk cancellation insurance include?

^

This insurance allows you to decide for what reason you cancel your booked trip. Not only can you appeal to the cancellation reasons listed in the conditions of the basic insurance, but you may decide for what reason you do not want to go on vacation.
For example, because your best friend becomes seriously ill, or if you do get that new job or assignment and need to start soon. You will then be reimbursed 75% of your cancellation fee for these additional reasons for cancellation

What does short-term travel insurance entail?

Travel without worries. With Comfort travel insurance you are well insured for the
most important risks during your trip. For example, you are insured for expert assistance via the Europeesche Helpline. You are also entitled to some important reimbursements. For example, if you suddenly have extra travel or telephone costs. You have standard
European coverage and you can fully compose the insurance yourself with extensions for luggage, money, medical expenses etc.

The premium starts at €0.92 per person per day.

What does the Help and Vehicle Rental insurance cover?

If you take your own vehicle on vacation, then the Help & Hire vehicle extension is of interest to you. If your own car breaks down, you will receive a replacement car. If necessary with a tow bar and ski box. You can continue your trip with minimal loss of time. If necessary, your car will be transported to an address in the Netherlands, for example to your own garage. You will also be reimbursed for labor for roadside repairs and the sending of parts that are not available locally. And if you have to spend the night because you cannot continue driving that day, a hotel stay will also be paid for.

The premium is €17.50 per policy per trip (+ 21% insurance tax); The coverage entitles you to assistance if your means of transport breaks down. The rental costs of an equivalent replacement vehicle will also be reimbursed if your own vehicle breaks down for more than 48 hours. Reimbursement of additional accommodation costs maximum € 50 per person per day (maximum 10 days).
