The language of communication is Czech, a Slavic language difficult for us to understand. However, German and/or English is spoken by many.
The road network in this region is mostly two-lane and well maintained. Gas stations are frequently encountered.
The capital of Prague with about 1 million inhabitants is about 200 km away. A visit to this beautiful city is definitely recommended and doable as a day trip. Vienna is also about 2 hours away by car.
South Bohemia
The province of South Bohemia lies in a triangle against Germany and Austria and is the least populated part of the country.
It is known for its high concentration of forests, open waters and cultural monuments. Not for nothing is this one of the most popular vacation spots of the Czechs themselves. But now recreational visitors from other countries have also discovered the endless possibilities of this area. The tranquility, pure air and sheer beauty is surprising in this region wedged by mountains and forests, known for a reason as "the green roof of Europe."
