The Czech Republic is a great place to spend your winter holidays. You can enjoy great skiing, tranquility, hospitality, good slopes and all this at an affordable price. Skiing in the Czech Republic is not directly comparable to skiing in, for example, Austria or France.
Nature in the Czech Republic is still virtually untouched and the slopes are quieter (and somewhat easier) than in other popular winter sports countries. An excellent destination for beginning skiers.
Ski resort Kramolin is the ski resort of Lipno. Down in the village departs the modern chairlift that takes winter athletes up the mountain. The relative smallness and difficulty make this area ideal for families with children or beginners. There are 3 new 4-person chairlifts.
With the purchase of a ski pass, you can use all the slopes. With the ski pass you can even descend a number of illuminated slopes in the evening. This ski pass costs about € 105,00 for 6 days (up to 15 years and from 60 years 30% discount; 16-18 years and students 20% discount; children up to 5 years pay only € 1,00/pass). Renters of villapark Lipno Dreams can also purchase a Lipno Card for € 1.00 per person which entitles them to various discounts at restaurants, ski rental, toboggan run, swimming pool etc.
Both for skiing and snowboarding lessons can be taken at the local ski school. Ski equipment can be rented locally. For more advanced skiers, there are several larger ski areas, such as Hochficht and Sternstein in Austria, within a half-hour drive.

From Lipno nad Vltavou can be reached in one hour.
Skating
Because Lake Lipno lies at an altitude of 725 meters, the lake quickly freezes over in winter. With its 42 kilometers in length, the lake offers great opportunities for skaters. The municipality takes care of sweeping an easily passable skating rink.
The Lipno Ice Club has a range of activities every winter. Thus, you can undertake skating tours from 25 to 150 kilometers. Beginners can improve their technique by participating in skating lessons. At the starting point of the skating rink there is a rental service with plenty of skates for children and adults, and you can have your own skates sharpened here.
In short, Lipno is an ideal destination for winter sports in the Czech Republic.
